Hi, guys this post only for those people who want to know what is the difference between wired and wireless networks. I think this post will be helpful because peoples are using the wired or wireless network but they don't know the main difference between wired and wireless networks, so let's discuss.

Top 5 Networking Books

Wired Network: -

Net

The term 'WIRED' refers to any physical medium consisting of cables. This physical medium is used to transfer data between one device to another device. Cables are used as a physical medium, and this cable can be various types of E.g. twisted pair cable, fiber optic cable or copper cable. Wired network is used to carry different forms of an electrical signal from one site to another. Ethernet cable usage is too high to transfer information between two devices.
Wired The network is a bit complicated to configure as compared to a wireless network. Multiple routers or switches are used to connect each other Computer or devices in a wired network.

 Wireless Network: -

Net

A wireless network that means no wire. Wireless networks use infrared or radio frequency signals to share information and resources between two devices. Basically, Wireless network is used to reduce the time and it is also very simple to configure as compared to a wired network. All wireless devices use an antenna or sensor to communicate with each other.
The use of wireless communication is increasing day by day because this is very simple to configure everywhere. There are some places in the middle of the ocean, where the Wire network is impossible to reach. And the most important thing, you can carry wireless devices everywhere.

Difference between Wire and Wireless network:-

No.
Wired Network
Wireless Network
1.
The cable is one of the most important thing to configure Wired network and the cable is used to transfer data between one device to another.
Infrared or radio frequency signals are used to transfer data between one device to another.
2.
The data transmission speed of the wired network is better as compared to a wireless network.
The data transmission speed of wireless the network is not good as compared to a wired network.
3.
Hubs and Switches are used to increase the network coverage.
You can cover more area by a wireless base stations which are connected to one another.
4.
Cost of a Wired network is less as compared to a wireless network because switches, router, the cable is not more expensive.
But Wireless network configuration is more expensive then Wired network, because if you configure Wireless network so you must need, wireless routers, wireless subscriber stations, wireless access points and adapters which are very expensive.
5.
Wired network is more trust-able as compare to a wireless network.
A wireless network is less trust-able as compare to the wired network.
6.
Copper wires, Ethernet cable, optical fiber cables are used to transmit data.
Radio waves or EM waves or Infrared are used to transmit data.
7.
If you use the wired network on you laptop or on a computing device, it is very difficult to carry.
But if you use a wireless network on a device, it is very easy to carry anywhere.
